DMSO 99.9% by Aquapurelife is dimethyl sulfoxide (CAS 67-68-5), a polar aprotic organic solvent miscible with water and with most organic solvents. It is packed in an amber glass bottle with a screw cap to protect it from light and moisture, as it is a hygroscopic substance.

What is DMSO?
DMSO, or dimethyl sulfoxide (C₂H₆OS), is a liquid organic compound that is colourless and practically odourless when pure. It is a very versatile polar aprotic solvent: it mixes with water and with most organic solvents, and dissolves a wide variety of compounds. That is why it is widely used in technical, industrial and formulation processes.
How to choose your DMSO format
- 125 ml and 250 ml: occasional use or to try the product.
- 500 ml and 1 L: regular use, better price per litre.
- Large volumes: 5, 10 and 20 L jerrycans, packs of 5 to 20 bottles, 200 L drum and 1,000 L IBC.
- Ready-diluted: DMSO 70% in purified water or the DMSO Duo Pack.
Storage
Keep it tightly closed in its original amber glass container, protected from light and moisture. DMSO is hygroscopic (it absorbs water from the air) and solidifies below about 18 °C; if it solidifies, simply leave it at room temperature and it will return to a liquid state, unaltered.
Frequently asked questions
Why has my DMSO solidified?
DMSO crystallises below about 18 °C. This is a reversible physical change: simply leave it at room temperature or in a warm water bath (never a microwave) and it will return to a liquid state without losing its properties.
What is the difference from DMSO 70%?
The 70% is an aqueous solution of the same DMSO, easier to handle for dilution in technical applications. The 99.9% is the pure substance.
Is the safety data sheet supplied?
Yes, the SDS in Spanish, compliant with Regulation (EU) 2020/878, is available on request.
Why glass and not plastic?
Amber glass is chemically inert to DMSO and protects it from light. For large volumes we use compatible HDPE.
