How is it dosed?

Dilute 1 ml per litre of water and leave to act for 30 minutes. Check with test strips that active chlorine is below 1.5 ppm before consuming the treated water.

How long does it last once opened?

Kept closed, cool and away from light, it maintains its concentration for months; the expiry date is shown on the label.

Why does it come in amber glass?

Chlorine dioxide degrades in light; amber glass and an airtight cap help maintain the concentration for longer.

What does “3000 ppm” mean?

Parts per million: the solution contains about 3 g of chlorine dioxide per litre (0.3%). It is a concentrated solution that is diluted according to the label.

Ready-made solution or a kit to generate it?

The 3000 ppm solution is the most convenient option: it arrives prepared and measured. The chlorite 25% + activator kit lets you generate it on demand and usually works out cheaper if usage is high.

Does it need to be refrigerated?

It is recommended when the temperature exceeds 10 °C and once opened: chlorine dioxide is a dissolved gas that is lost with heat. If you receive it in summer, refrigerate it before opening.
