500 ML - 25% SODIUM CHLORITE + 4% HYDROCHLORIC ACID
COMPOSITION
Aqueous solution of Sodium Chlorite NaCIO2, a precursor substance of a biocide (Chlorine Dioxide) that is obtained in situ by acidification with the activator. The kits consist of two amber-colored glass containers, one of Sodium Chlorite (NaCIO2) at 25% and Hydrochloric Acid (HCl) as an activator at 4%.
SCOPE OF APPLICATION
Mobile preparation of drinking water, in caravans, yachts, boats, trips, hotels, outdoors or hiking etc.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE AND DOSAGE
For disinfection of drinking water.
One drop of HCl Activator is used for each drop of Sodium Chlorite (1:1). Dose 3 drops of sodium chlorite and 3 drops of activator for each litre of water to be treated (the intense yellow colour indicates the degree of saturation of the CIO2 gas), in a dry container (non-metallic). Wait about 45 seconds until a golden amber colour is obtained. Depending on the quantity of activated drops, add water according to the instructions (3 activated drops/1 litre of water) to stabilise the activated solution as soon as possible. This yellowish solution must be diluted in the water to be treated as soon as possible to ensure maximum effectiveness, and allow to act for at least 30 min.
Do not expose to sunlight to prevent degradation. It is not necessary to keep containers in the refrigerator at reasonable temperatures when the ambient temperature is below 22-24º C.
CHARACTERISTICS
The kits contain 25% sodium chlorite (Na CIO2) + 4% hydrochloric acid (HCl) as an activator
Very high quality and purity. Sodium chlorite should never be used alone. It should always be activated with a safe acid. Mixing equal parts sodium chlorite with an acid produces the disinfectant biocidal substance chlorine dioxide.
It is very important to note that exposing the contents to ultraviolet light deteriorates the product.
HAZARD INDICATIONS SODIUM CHLORITE
Use biocides safely. Always read the label and information on the biocide before use.
EFFECTIVENESS AND AUTHORIZATION
Precursor included in art. 95 of Regulation EU 528/2012 on biocides, this biocide is up to 99.9999% effective against germs and is authorised for disinfection of drinking water, general disinfection in the private sector, veterinary hygiene, and for human and animal feed.
Conservation
It should be kept in a dry place, in an upright position, tightly closed and out of the reach of children.

MODO DE EMPLEO
For disinfection of drinking water:
- Use one drop of HCl Activator for each drop of Sodium Chlorite (1:1). Measure 2 drops of sodium chlorite and 2 drops of activator for each liter of water to be treated, in a dry container (non-metallic) regardless of the number of activated drops.
- Wait about 45 seconds until you obtain a golden amber color.
-The mixture needs to be diluted later in water. Add water (>150 ml) to stabilize the activated solution as soon as possible. The intense yellow color indicates the degree of saturation of the CIO2 gas that evaporates over time.
-This yellowish solution must be diluted in the water to be treated as soon as possible to ensure maximum effectiveness, and let it act for at least 30 minutes.
-Do not consume the treated water until the active chlorine level drops below 1.5 ppm. If when measuring the chlorine level it is negligible, repeat the operation until the level of active chlorine in the water is between 0.5-1.5 ppm.
The amount of product to be dosed and the exposure time will always depend on the quality of the water to be treated.
Use with caution, always read labels and product information. Store in a cool, dry place, and in an upright position.
Do not expose to sunlight to avoid degradation. It is not necessary to keep the containers in the refrigerator at reasonable temperatures when the ambient temperature is below 22-24º C.
