When to replace the seal
With repeated use, cap seals get compressed, harden or deform, and the closure is no longer airtight. Common signs are small leaks when tipping the container, liquid residue on the thread or faster-than-normal evaporation. Replacing the seal makes the cap leak-tight again without having to replace the whole container, extending the life of reusable jerrycans and bottles. We recommend always keeping a spare if you use jerrycans regularly.

How is it fitted?
Remove the old seal from inside the cap, clean and dry the seat, and insert the new one, pressing evenly until it is fully seated.
How should I store the spare seal?
In a clean, dry place, away from sunlight and without folding it, so that it keeps its shape.
