Methylene blue is a classic dye used in staining and teaching microscopy. As a powder it packs the maximum amount of product into the minimum space: from this jar you can prepare large quantities of aqueous solution at whatever concentration each process requires. It is the right size for those who prepare their own staining solutions, for training centres with continuous consumption and for distributors who repack into smaller containers.
Sizes and alternatives
- Small powder size: sealed 2 g and 5 g tube.
- Already dissolved: methylene blue 1 % aqueous solution with pipette.
- For staining: Staining Pack with methylene blue 1 % and Lugol 2 % and Lugol 2 %.

Storage and handling
Keep the jar tightly closed, in a dry, cool place protected from light. It is a very intense dye: handle it with gloves, avoid raising dust and protect surfaces, as it stains skin, fabrics and many materials.
